I just what to talk to you about the importance of following up with your prospects who show interest in your opportunity. First of all having a home based business is a blessing because it allows you to work from the comfort of your home as you please. However without people whom we in the industry call leads you do not have a business. Therefore once a connection is made it's crucial you immedialy follow up with that person not because you are just trying to get them to join your opportunity but to show them that you are a real person. Follow up shows that you care and for me i feel that it's the most respectful thing you can do.
When following up you don't pitch people about your business or talk about it at the beginning unless they do. Follow up with them and build a relationship. once you have that you have trust and at that point your prospect will follow you where ever you go. It's a no brainer, follow up is key to any business without it you have no business. Remember follow up is one thing but the key lyes in effectiveness. Will my follow up be sucessful? Well all i can say is speak to people the way you would want to be spoken to if you were a prospect. Be genuine and have some empathy after all you are dealing with human beings.
When you follow up you get to see if you even want to be a partner with the prospect. Are thay coachable,teachable, reachable? Following up also is pratice for you, You get to learn different techniques in which you are able to speak to a prospect that will make them want to join you right away. However you won't know that until you follow up.
Last but not least remember to always have good posture before you begin your follow up. Make sure you're some where quiet with no distractions. Sit up straight. Yes i said sit up straight because this is your business and you need to run it like the million dollar business that it will soon be. Remember to smile because even though people cannot see you, it mentally puts you in a happy place which will in turn relate the message to your brain and you will be excited to call people and be able to be more encouraging. The results are all in the follow up so make sure that you are doing this daily.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
First let's define Personal Development because some of you may not have a clue as to what I may be talking about. However it's ok, that is what blog content is for. Personal development is very hard to define with one word however I can say that Personal Development is anything and everything that has to do with Self-improvement, Becoming a better you, transformations and so much more. So now that you have an idea of what Personal Development is let's get down to the good stuff.
So you think you don"t need personal development because you are comfortable exactly the way you are.
Do you need personal development training, absolutely! I was in my late 30"S when I was able to really appreciate the importance of Personal Development. I was working for a special needs daycare an began working with the CEO on coordination of Personal Development workshops. At the time we didn't call it Personal Development it was simply orientations that I coordinated and organized for the staff. At these orientations we had speakers come and talk on different topics such as how to act in the classroom with students, teachers behaviors ect. All along Personal Develpoment is what the whole concept was. even though I didn't get it then I still knew that having these meetings were very important and helped the staff. I knew that the staff was getting something out of it was because of the positive feed back and the interaction between the staff and presentators.
Personal Develpoment is needed throughout your whole life . You need it on so many levels. This is the time that we should as parents, Grandparents, Teachers, Family members should be teaching Self Development to our youth. Sometime it"s hard to pour into others when you need to be cleaned up yourself. So this is why I say Personal Development provides self improvement. What is self Improvement?. Its when we began the process of changing the things about ourselves that are unlikeable, irrelevent, redundant , bad habits, negative thoughts.. I can go on but I won"t, you get the picture. When you are self improved you began to feel and be more confident in yourself. You began to attract like minded confident people in your life that are able to to be your eqivalent or added value to your life. See This is just one of the things Personal Development can do for you. At this point I hope you are not just getting it but feeling what Personal Development can do for your life.
When you make a decision that their are some things in your life that you want to change that is when Self Development comes in. See we attract what we are when we should be attracting who we want to become.
Self Development helps you with self Completion. What does that mean? I'm glad you asked. Self completion is when you get to the mildstone of your own value that you are to yourself. Wow! Deep right! Well you won't find that in any book because it was created by myself and my spirit told me to share and to pour that into you. Just meditate on that for a while it will soon make sense then just use it and make it your own. Self Development Helps you become a better you, It helps you thrive not only survive.
Personal Development helps you conquer and confront fear so that you can create your future. Self Develooment Helps you to be able to make better decisons and not spend so much time being indecisive.
Self Development helps with your communication and presentation skills, Managing your finances, helps you make better business decisions, helps you set your goals because you began to be able to see them, create them and vision them coming to life. When you are self developed you even think better. You began to be able to think about what you want to become an manifest it into existence.
I know some of you may be saying where do I go for self development training. Well actually you don"t have to go any where but to your computer if you have one or to a library for their computer and order Self Development audios, books, For some instant gradification go to you tube an type in Personal Development and just watch what is offered take your pick. Some seminars, workshops may be offered in your area do your research. Just know that Self Development has many names such as self awareness, self improvement and so on. Key to remember that anything that involves learning how to create a better you is considered Self Development.Remember if you use an outside computer to order anything remember that is really at your own risk because you will be putting in private and delicate information. However you can use an outside computer to look up and research personal development information. Book stores also have Self Development books that you can buy. Actually bookstores have a whole sectiions titled Personal Deveolment.
Last but not least always remember you have unlimited value so never under estimate yourself. No matter what you are experiencing in your life remember you will GROW through what you GO through.

YOU TUBE BRANDING!
OMG! So I need to make a you tube video because I was told it will help me brand myself and my signature products. I myself was scared to death at first to get on camera knowing that tons of people would see me and who knows what negativity I would have to face because I am not perfect in that world.
If you felt like I felt when you tube video making was introduced to you then this blog is for you. I found myself not being afraid of the camera because I loved taking pictures and posing and all that stuff. It was the fact that I had to confront change by doing something different. Change will always be uncomfortable because in our lives we become complacent where and how we are especially if we been a certain way for so long. I had to realize that if I wanted to help others and build relationships with people I had to began making videos so people could see that I was a real person,ordinary and alive just like them.
I myself thought my you tube videos from my lap top web camera were horrible. However my friends and family thought other wise. A mentor of mine By the name of Vickie Wooden who is well known on you tube for mentoring others and helping them grow their businesses was very encouraging. So with all that positivity I continued making my you tube videos with my lap top web camera. However I was surprised at the amount of views I received and subscribers. I realized that it wasn't about me but about the quality and value of my content that I was giving.
I encourage anyone who has an on line business, Traditional business, Products or services or just have something that they want to share with the world to start making you tube videos for that exposure. Don't worry about the camera as long as you can be heard and seen. At the beginning you may not be able to afford a better camcorder and that's ok because you have to start some where . Eventually you will, like I did. I promise you once you make your first video you will overcome that fear of making you tube videos.
Remember your viewers are not looking for perfection because no one is perfect. What they do look for is someone who is real and is just like them and someone they can relate to. Talk to your viewers not at them. Don't be scripted if you can help it. When I say scripted I don't mean you don't have to have what you want to say written down. You absolutely will need a guide at the beginning just like I did. Just get you some index cards and use them accordingly just don't look as though you are reading a book. The most important thing is to have fun. Don't get lost in being the professional because you may lose your audience because they may began to feel threatened. Remember people want to learn from others however when they learn from others who appear to be just like them it will enable them to build trust and then relationships will come naturally.
When you are marketing it's all about building trust and then relationships. People feel more comfortable following and going in to business with people they can relate to, trust and feel comfortable with. So make sure that person is you. I personally as being a beginner in you tube branding I do not edit my videos, I don't have music and this is optional and just my preference. You do what works for you. I just feel like I don"t want any distractions I want my viewers to concentrate on me not my music, back grounds or highlights.
Some people like myself don't know how to do all those extra computer edits lol. However If people want to follow me I Don"t want them to feel reluctant thinking that they have to be all fancy to get their point across.so I choose to be simple an plain. Hopefully some where down the line I can at least add some words and headings and titles which is also simple and ok. What ever you decide is up to you .
The hardest part is getting started so if you are reading this blog I encourage you to have confidence in yourself because I do and I don't even know you.You can do it just get up and do it.
Like myself you will began to crave making videos and it will become a part of your daily routine which is very important.You tube videos for me is like having a sweet tooth if I don't get my fix I feel in complete and hungry. Don"t let haters deter you from continuing or beginning to make your videos. Remember this is your channel, you run the show to I say be ready so you won"t have to get ready. Surround yourself with like minded people and be open to real constructive criticism you'll know the haters when you hear them.
